AAW Symposium 2008

The 22nd Annual National AAW Symposium in Richmond, VA June 20-22.

The AAW Symposium starts on Friday, June 20, 2008, and continues through Sunday, June 22, 2008.

    Southern States Symposium

    Southern States Symposium is hosting a party called "Southern States VIII" in Gainesville, GA April 25-27.

    The Symposium starts at 1 pm Friday, April 25, 2007, and continues through until noon on Sunday, April 27, 2007.

    John C. Campbell Folk School

    provides experiences in non-competitive learning and community life that are joyful and enlivening. Located in scenic Brasstown, North Carolina, the Folk School offers year-round weeklong and weekend classes for adults in craft, art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, nature studies, photography and writing

    Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts

    Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts is a nationally renowned center of contemporary arts and crafts education. Workshops are offered for one and two weeks in the spring and summer, and one-week and weekends in the fall. Areas of study include: ceramics, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, drawing, photography, warm glass, woodturning, woodworking, sculpture, and book and paper arts. The public is welcome year-round to visit the school?s five galleries, resource center and book and supply store. Artist residencies, assistantships, work-study, scholarships community outreach, conferences and music programs contribute to Arrowmont?s mission of ?enriching lives through art.?

    Black Warrior Wood Turning School

    4509 Woodland Hills Dr., Tuscaloosa, AL, the only wood turning school which offers one-day classes on full sized lathes in the southeast outside of Smithfield , TN and Brasstown, NC.
    All skill levels for bowls and spindle work taught. Classes (4 hours each) are restricted to two students.
